A causa del coronavirus il Regno Unito va in lockdown per tre settimane. La disobbedienza non è piaciuta a Boris Johnson che in tutti i modi vuole evitare la tragedia che incombe sull’Europa. Così, mentre il virus si diffonde, la Gran Bretagna si blinda per almeno tre settimane.

Mentre la pandemia di coronavirus si diffonde in tutto il paese, il Primo ministro approva misure radicali per vietare tutti i movimenti di persone non necessari per almeno tre settimane. La polizia interromperà i raduni e avrà il potere di punire le persone che infrangono le nuove leggi.
In particolare, tutti i negozi che vendono articoli non essenziali, i parchi giochi, le biblioteche e i luoghi di culto saranno chiusi. Alle persone sarà permesso di uscire di casa solo per acquistare cose essenziali, per viaggiare per lavoro se non può essere evitato, per cure mediche o per aiutare una persona vulnerabile.
Il governo rivedrà le misure dopo tre settimane e deciderà sul da farsi.
La sera del 23 marzo, in un discorso televisivo alla nazione, da Downing Street Johnson ha annunciato misure senza precedenti : “Senza un enorme sforzo nazionale per fermare la crescita di questo virus, arriverà un momento in cui nessun servizio sanitario al mondo potrebbe farcela. Da questa sera devo dare al popolo inglese istruzioni molto semplici: restate a casa”.
